3.1 Phillip Lim Pre-Fall 2014 Pre-Fall

Total Cost:  $3565

I have been dying for a metallic moment for myself and I wish I had the $500 to shell out for this super bad ass sweatshirt. Look what 3.1 Phillip Lim has made me say!! - $500 for a SWEATSHIRT!!! Now that is convincing design right there. For his pre-season he was inspired by poodle shows, which explains his shear-ling satchel. This would be a really classy, yet truly creative way to show up to an art exhibit on a brisk evening, in a (COMFORTABLE - uh, hello?!) sweatshirt with peeling metallic paint. An added edge peeks through in your (still classy!) pencil skirt with a little leather peek-a-boo. You even get a little splash of color, oh yes, with the leather & chain heel, in a cool teal. The best way to walk into an art exhibit is to be a walking piece yourself.

Personally, I would go a different route with the hair. The color is okay, but its a little dull for all the pizazz the outfit brings to the table. And lets be honest, that chest-nutty color kind of blends in with the color of the sweatshirt making it kind of muddled. I would probably go with a dark bob or maybe even an artistic up-do. I'd keep the face and lips pretty mellow and go with a dark eye. I don't want to take away from the extreme-awesome of this sweatshirt, but hey, I have to continue my statement somewhere!

And up next another perfect example of a metallic moment going all the right ways! I love  chance to make a very neutral and sometimes fashionably mundane look and cranking up the knob full volume, baby!! Okay, so maybe it reserved a little of its demure roots with a half neutral white shoulder, but when you speak up in this outfit, they're going to hear you! I think the turtleneck kind of dates this look, which is why I think it might be better suited with a charcoal gray colored, distressed tank and a simple gold necklace - maybe something a little dainty for contrast.

Again, I would pair it with darker hair - ooh! -- maybe a retro curly-q and a dark lip! Yes! The shoes are also really interesting because they're slightly fuzzy, foot fetish enthusiasts, this is your chance to ask to pet a foot and get away with it! haha But seriously, they really compliment the whole outfit by coming out of left field.

I might change the bag to maybe one of his clutches that kind of look like bent metal -- even the buckskin version is pretty cool, but I guess this works too. Now excuse me while I count my pocket change . . .
